LILBURN -- Registration continues to surge for the gun safety seminar offered next week by the Lilburn Police Department.
About 275 people had signed up for the class -- to be held at 6:30 p.m. on March 21 -- as of Wednesday, Lilburn public relations manager Nikki Young said. Fifty had signed up by early February, within a few days of the program's announcement.
The seminar's location had previously been left open pending the amount of interest garnered, but the lecture-based class is now slated to be held in the Berkmar High School auditorium.
The seminar will cover topics including firearm safety, firearms laws, home defense weapons and alternative weapons. It is free to attend, though registration is required due to limited seating. Those interested can RSVP by emailing Sgt. Tim Allen at email@example.com.
Berkmar High School is located at 405 Pleasant Hill Road in Lilburn.
