DULUTH -- A women's only self-defense seminar is scheduled for 1 p.m. on March 23, and will focus on parking lot attacks that lead to possible abduction or rape.
The event will serve as a fundraiser for The Sport of Giving, a nonprofit, grassroots organization that works to support, educate and prevent cancer for every woman in the Gwinnett community.
A minimum $40 donation is requested until March 22, and can be given online at www.thesportofgiving.org or in person at Krav Maga, 2370 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Duluth.
At the seminar, Krav Maga professional instructors will offer the two-hour class, because organizers have said self-defense should be a top priority for all women and their daughters as violence ranks as one of women's top concerns.
