LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis team raced its way to a third victory in four days to stay unbeaten with a 7-2 win over NCAA squad Rhodes College (Tenn.) on Saturday at the GGC tennis facility in Lawrenceville.
The Grizzlies (8-0) took all three doubles matches and the top four singles lines to earn the win.
Erik Moberg posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles, while Tony Kostadinov and Luke Morland cruised to straight sets wins at second and third singles for their eighth wins of the year.
Theo Arruda battled to a 1-6, 6-4, 11-9 victory at No. 4 singles for his seventh victory.
Moberg and Kostadinov set the tone with an 8-3 win at first doubles, while Hernan Hatem and Morland followed with an 8-3 win. Each unit stands at 8-0 on the year.
The win moved GGC to 7-0 on its home courts this season. The team also earned wins Wednesday and Friday during a busy week.
The Grizzlies now have two weeks off before facing Young Harris College at home March 22.
