SNELLVILLE -- A student with special needs was taken to the hospital early Friday morning after a school bus overturned.
The wreck occurred at about 6:30 a.m., after the bus driver had just started the route. "(The student) was the first one the driver had picked up," said District Spokesman Jorge Quintana.
Quintana said that the student was transported to an area hospital as a precaution, but that neither the student or the driver were injured.
The bus was picking up Craig Elementary students, when it overturned on Mink-Livsey Road off Pleasant Hill Road.
Further details about the incident were not yet available.
Quintana said the student's parents were notified.
