ATLANTA -- Two Parkview pitchers combined for a no-hitter on Friday night as the Panthers blanked Marist 5-0.
Mac Marshall (1-1) started and went 5 innings, walking three and striking out five, while Sam McCoy pitched the final 1 with two strikeouts.
Hunter Thornton led the offense for Parkview (2-1), going 2-for-3 with a double, homer and two RBIs, while Jim Wagner and Trevor Brown each drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.
Josh Hart also had two hits an RBI, while Rob Youngblood and McCoy each added a double.
Peachtree Ridge 5, McEachern 2
SUWANEE -- Peachtree Ridge starter Tyler Haswell allowed two unearned runs on just two hits on Friday night in leading the Lions to a 5-2 win over McEachern.
Haswell went all seven innings and struck out 12 along the way as his record improved to 2-0.
On offense, the Lions received an RBI triple from Cam Shepherd and an RBI double from Cooper Burdick, while Anthony Perez and Jared Stedman each went 1-for-1 with an RBI. Tyler Chaney and Jonathan Hudson also added a hit each.
After losing its first three games, the Lions (3-3) have now won three straight.
Cartersville 8, Brookwood 0
CARTERSVILLE -- Brookwood was held to just two hits on Friday night as the Broncos fell 8-0 at Cartersville.
Garrett Reynolds and Alvaro Castillo had one hit each for Brookwood (2-4), while Jordan Dykes took the loss on the mound.
Meadowcreek 18, Cross Keys 3
ATLANTA -- Meadowcreek notched its first win of the season on Friday night with an 18-3 rout of Cross Keys in four innings.
Deandre Smith went 3-for-5 with a double, triple and three RBIs to lead the offense for the Mustangs (1-4), while Michael Bynoe had a hit and drove in two.
Austin Wilkey and Eric Arp each added two hits, while Justin Johnson and Johendry Bello each had a hit. Shea Wilkey was the winning pitcher, going three innings with six strikeouts.
Apalachee 6, Dacula 5
DACULA -- Apalachee never trailed and fended off a late Dacula charge to hold on for a 6-5 win over the Falcons on Friday night.
Michael Stampfel (1-1) pitched four innings in taking the loss for Dacula, being charged with two runs on four hits with four strikeouts.
Nick Mollica went 2-for-3 for Dacula (3-4), while Tyler Crumley and Nick Heamon each had a hit.
Dacula 1, Archer 0 OT
DACULA -- Brian Mejia scored in the first minute of the second overtime to lift Dacula to a 1-0 win over Archer on Friday night.
Joe Efford assisted Mejia's goal, while keeper Bryce Lackey kept Archer scoreless with nine saves. Dacula improved to 4-2-1 overall and 1-1 in Region 8-AAAAAA.
Meadowcreek 2, Tri Cities 0
NORCROSS -- Meadowcreek improved to 5-0 on Friday night with a 2-0 shutout over Tri Cities.
The Mustangs received one goal each from Rodrigo Reyes and Angel Vega.
Central 1, Brookwood 0
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Central Gwinnett's keeper Ricky Ortiz recorded 12 saves, including two on penalty kicks in the first half, to help give the Black Knights a 1-0 win over Brookwood on Friday night.
Central (7-1, 1-0) found the scoreboard with 10 minutes left when Rigo Gudiel assisted Juan Gonzalez for a goal.
Berkmar 2, South 0
LILBURN -- Berkmar stayed unbeaten in Region 8-AAAAAA on Friday night with a 2-0 shutout of South Gwinnett.
Berkmar (2-3-1, 2-0) received both of its goals from Rocky Guerra.
Parkview 2, Shiloh 0
SNELLVILLE -- Parkview edged Shiloh on Friday night with a 2-0 shutout in Region 8-AAAAAA action.
Abel Nguyen scored for Parkview off an assist from Connor Rosenthal, while the other goal was an own goal from Shiloh.
Hebron 5, Lanier 1
DACULA -- Paul Redman and Ben Ungerer put in two goals each on Friday night in helping give Hebron a 5-1 win over Lanier.
Ryan Thomas logged a goal and an assist for Hebron (4-2-1), while Bailey Pinto dished two assists.
Meadowcreek 10, Tri Cities 0
NORCROSS -- Meadowcreek continued its strong play on Friday night with a 10-0 win over Tri Cities.
Rachel Hill led the Mustangs (5-1) with three goals, with Leslie Ceballos scoring two. Valerie Gutierrez, Hilda Trochez, Kim DeAnda, Milagro Mejia and Mariam Martinez each helped with one goal.
Sandy Prado earned the shutout at keeper.
Dacula 1, Archer 0
DACULA -- Dacula upped its record to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in Region 8-AAAAAA on Friday night with a 1-0 shutout over Archer.
Makayla Clack scored off as assist from Valeria Bermeo, while Madison Glunn provided the shutout at keeper.
Brookwood 6, Central 1
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Brookwood stayed unbeaten with a 6-1 win over Central Gwinnett on Friday night.
Jenny Allen and Kim Fincher led the offense with two goals each, while Fiorella Gamarra and Shannon Maloney added one each. The win improved Brookwood to 7-0 overall and 1-0 in Region 8-AAAAAA.
Berkmar 2, South 1
LILBURN -- Berkmar picked up its first win of the season on Friday night by holding on for a 2-1 victory over South Gwinnett in Region 8-AAAAAA.
Raven Matthews and Amy Adame teamed up to provide the two goals for Berkmar (1-3, 1-2) as Matthews scored both off assists from Adame.
Parkview 10, Shiloh 0
SNELLVILLE -- Parkview logged a win in Region 8-AAAAAA on Friday night with a 10-0 shutout of Shiloh.
Grayson 1, Duluth 0
DULUTH -- Grayson blanked Duluth on Friday night 1-0 in a game between non-region opponents, running its unbeaten record to 6-0.
The match appeared destined for overtime tied 0-0, but Amanda Baker scored with 57 seconds left off an assist from Brittney Bennett. Jesse Grogan also had a solid game at keeper with eight saves in providing the shutout.
Hebron 5, Lanier 3
DACULA -- Hebron received at least one goal or assist from six different players on Friday night as the Lions topped Lanier 5-3 in a non-region match.
Bianca Clark scored twice for Hebron (4-1-1), while Jordan Lowery, Sarah Boyd and Alex Probst each scored one.
Assists came from Lowery, McKenzie Towe and Lydia Powell, while Lexi Kent recorded 10 saves at keeper.
Mill Creek 21, Norcross 3
NORCROSS -- Mill Creek received goals from 12 different players on Friday night as the Hawks ran away with a 21-3 win over Norcross.
Zach Roper led Mill Creek (8-1, 5-1) with four goals, while Reed Stanton scored three. Will Bryan, Nick Eldridge, Sam Kibildis and Nick Kozlowski also helped with two goals each.
Norcross was led by two goals from J.D. Strickland.
North 16, Archer 1
LAWRENCEVILLE -- North improved to 4-1 on Friday night as the Bulldogs ran away with a 16-1 win over Archer.
Luke Printz led the way with five goals, while Jack Ryan scored three. Dan Constant and Nathan Howell also helped with two goals each.
Duluth 13, Mountain View 3
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Duluth received three goals each from Zack Consie, Jordan Dandridge and Brendan Eckard on Friday night as the Wildcats (2-3, 1-1) beat Mountain View 13-3.
Eckard also had two assists, while Jason Kim had two goals, two assists and was 12-for-18 on faceoffs.
Mill Creek 10, Johns Creek 9
JOHNS CREEK -- Mill Creek improved to 6-1 on Friday night as the Hawks held on to top Johns Creek 10-9.
Jillian Wissel recorded eight saves at keeper for the Hawks, including one with seven seconds left to thwart the game-tying shot from Johns Creek,
Tori Windom fueled the offense with four goals, while Mackenzi Fagioli scored two. Four other Hawks chipped in with one goal each.
Duluth 17, Mountain View 10
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Duluth knocked off Mountain View 17-10 on Friday night.
Ali Cole had six goals and an assist to lead Duluth (3-2-2). Whitney Brown also helped with four goals, while Rebecca Graham scored three.
Mountain View, which fell to 1-2, was led on offense by a five-goal night from Kirsten Whitt, while keeper Ella Makin recorded 14 saves.
