EditorsNote: update2: Adds Scott's promotion Hawks add Mack and Scott, release Tyler
The Atlanta Hawks added two players to their roster and removed one Wednesday.
Guard Shelvin Mack received a 10-day contract, and forward Mike Scott was recalled from the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League. The Hawks waived forward-center Jeremy Tyler.
The 6-foot-3 Mack was averaging 20.1 points in 23 games for Maine in the NBA Development League. He has seen limited action in the NBA this season with the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers.
As a rookie out of Butler in 2011-12, Mack played in 64 games for the Wizards and averaged 3.6 points and 2.0 assists.
Scott, a second-round selection in last year's draft, averaged 24.7 points and 11.3 rebounds in three games for Bakersfield during his second minor league stint of the season. He averaged 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds in 25 games with Atlanta earlier this season.
The 6-10 Tyler was acquired from Golden State on Feb. 21 and played in one game for the Hawks. Tyler appeared in 62 games in two seasons with the Warriors. In 42 games last season, he 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds.
