ATLANTA -- Freshman Matt Rose homered and senior Nick Squeglia earned his 13th career victory as Georgia State's baseball team won its third straight game with a 13-5 victory over UNC Asheville onWednesday afternoon at the GSU Baseball Complex.
Caden Bailey drove in three runs and extended his hitting streak to 16 games and Chad Prain added three RBIs to help the Panthers (9-5) complete the two-game sweep and win for the fifth time in their last six games. UNC Asheville fell to 4-9.
Squeglia (2-0), a Collins Hill grad and fifth-year veteran from Lawrenceville, pitched into the sixth inning and allowed four runs on six hits with five strikeouts and three walks to improve his career record to 13-6. He moved into ninth place in the GSU record book for career victories.
