For the fourth time in six matches, the undefeated Georgia Gwinnett men's tennis team swept its opponent, 9-0, this time over NCAA foe Morehouse College on Wednesday in blustery conditions at the GGC Tennis Facility.
The Grizzlies (6-0) sent the Maroon Tigers to 1-4 on the year, dropping no more than two games in any match.
Erik Moberg and Hernan Hatem led the way on the top two singles lines with 6-1, 6-1 victories. The Grizzlies shut out their opponents in three of the remaining four singles tilts.
In doubles, three 8-1 victories pushed GGC to a quick lead.
Moberg and Tony Kostadinov moved to 6-0 this season while Hatem and Luke Morland also remained unbeaten. Taylor Hardy and Aaron Harris added their fourth win of the season.
The teams battled temperatures around 40 degrees with gusts of up to 20 mph.
"The guys came out today in terrible weather conditions and took care of business in a timely manner," Grizzlies head coach Chase Hodges said. "Our team is extremely confident at the moment and we look forward to our next match on Friday."
