Jake Bayer of Lawrenceville won the boys 11- to 14-year-old division, highlighting the top performances by Gwinnett golfers at last weekend's Nike Cup Series Event 1, a Hurricane Junior Golf Tour stop at Canongate at Mirror Lake in Villa Rica.
Bayer shot 76 and 74 in the two-round tourney. Dacula's Alex Markham tied for sixth (81-81) and Buford's Jordan Rodriguez was ninth (85-80) in the 11-14 boys division.
In the girls 11-14 division, Buford's Grace Choi (98-91) finished second and Dacula's Annika Blanton (99-98) tied for fourth.
Suwanee's Jenny Li (84-85) tied for seventh in the girls 15-18 division and Norcross' Alissa Yang (89-83) was 10th. Dacula's Dylan Pence (79-83) was ninth in boys 15-18 play.
