Yodle acquires Sugar Hill software business

SUGAR HILL -- An online marketing business has announced its acquisition of a Gwinnett County software company.

Yodle announced Monday that it has acquired Lighthouse Practice Management Group of Sugar Hill, a provider of dental appointment reminder and relationship marketing software.

Yodle's small business clients are currently acquiring new customers through the company's integrated desktop and mobile product offering, which includes websites, search advertising and a simple performance dashboard.

Lighthouse's three co-founders have a combined 60 years of experience in dental software and relationship marketing, including the creation of PracticeWorks -- one of the most widely used practice management systems.

The company's flagship product -- Lighthouse 360 -- which was introduced in 2006, is currently used by several thousand dental practices. The entire Lighthouse staff has joined the Yodle team.

Online marketing company buys a brick & mortar company? Just sit back with your credit card and start buying up folks. What are they going to do, just spend time online trying to sell the software that the producing company doesn't know how to do?

Lighthouse is NOT a brick and mortar company....and this merger creates an amalgamation similar to steel that will take complimentary strengths and talents and deploy them in a manner that is best for the clients. We know Dentistry - and we know how to make sure any company with existing clients can better service that base. Now by partnering with Yodle, we can continue to do that while the client can obtain additional customers knowing the new customers will be taken care of by the retention software. A win all the way around - primarily for the clients and their clients.
