PEACHTREE CORNERS -- A local church is offering help to veterans, hosting a special presentation to help those who served in the military to learn about benefits from the Veterans Administration.
The free event is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, at 5575 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners.
There, Jeff Barnard of the Veteran Benefits Alliance will present information on veteran assistance and long-term care benefits both for veterans and their surviving spouses.
In a press release, the presentation was described as an opportunity to understand both the benefits and the application process, including special information on how to become eligible if you exceed the limits."You've given a lot to take care of your country," the release said. "Don't miss this opportunity to learn how your country can take care of you."
