The Touchdown Club of Atlanta and the National Football Foundation Atlanta Chapter are pleased to announce the two organizations have merged, forming The Touchdown Club of Atlanta-National Football Foundation Chapter.
The new organization will be led by a volunteer roster of business leaders, sports marketing experts and sports professionals.
Nearly 75 years ago in September, the Touchdown Club of Atlanta was formed, making it the oldest independent Touchdown Club in the country.The new, combined organization will continue to support and promote High School and College Football programs in Metro Atlanta, the state of Georgia and the Southeast. The Club will continue hosting weekly meetings to recognize high school players, coaches and teams in the metro area.In addition, the organization's signature luncheons will boast larger attendance and will feature prominent speakers in the Football community.
Collectively, the Touchdown Club of Atlanta-National Football Foundation Chapter will give year- end awards, including the Bobby Dodd National High School Player of the Year Awards, which are given to a Back and a Lineman. The tradition of giving Scholarships to Scholar Athletes by the National Football Foundation Atlanta Chapter will also be continued and expanded.
