Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals arrest child molestation suspect

LILBURN -- A Lilburn man who authorities tracked to Louisiana following an allegation of child molestation last month was taken into custody in Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Ricardo Tirado-Pantoja was arrested after a joint effort by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Marshals Service. The Marshals took Tirado-Pantoja into custory on May 30 following an arrest warrant for child molestation from the Gwinnett County Police Department. The allegation took place on May 6, Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Shannon Volkodav said.

He was held without bond and on booked on charges of child molestation, battery, two counts of third degree cruelty to children and was held for immigration. Volkodav said the cruelty to children charges were from an unrelated incident.
