LAWRENCEVILLE -- Twenty-five Gwinnett Medical Center doctors were recently named "top docs" in the current issue of Atlanta Magazine.
The doctors were chosen by colleagues who nominated them based on education, professional experience and excellence in patient care, according to a press release. Castle Connolly Medical, a New York-based healthcare research and information company, compiled the the list. Castle develops a database of the top doctors and hospitals around the country.
In the annual issue, 323 doctors were identified through screening and randomly asking board-certified doctors and medical leaders to select top doctors in five metro Atlanta counties.
"The commitment of these physicians is highly complementary of GMC's overall mission to provide quality care and experience 24 hours a day, seven days a week," GMC President and CEO Phil Wolfe said.
