NORCROSS -- Local kids can learn about safety from some of Gwinnett's bravest, at a free one-day camp this week.
Safe Kids Gwinnett is providing the fun event from 9 a.m. til 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lillian Webb Park in Norcross to focus on six areas of safety.
The lessons, dedicated to the prevention of unintentional childhood injuries, will include games, activities and demonstrations. Kids, ages 5-11, will learn about personal safety, water safety, fire safety, household safety, sport safety, and pedestrian and vehicle safety.
Helping out with the event are Gwinnett County Fire Department, Norcross Police Department,Army Corps of Engineers, Tebo Dental, Citizens Fire Academy Alumni, WellCare, Amerigroup, Gwinnett Daily Post and others.
