New restaurant to open near Mall of Georgia

BUFORD -- If you've been searching for a new burger joint, look no more.

Burger 21, a fast-casual restaurant, is opening its first franchise in Georgia down the road from the Mall of Georgia.

"We look forward to bringing Burger 21's premium ingredients, innovative recipes and gourmet experience without the gourmet price at our first franchised location in Georgia," said Mark Johnston, Burger 21 president.

The restaurant offers 21 chef-inspired burgers, hand-dipped milkshakes, gourmet hot dogs, hand-breaded chicken tenders and made-to-order salads.

"My team and I are excited to bring Burger 21's 'beyond the better burger' experience to the Buford area," owner Corley Steward said. "With consumer demand for fast-casual experiences on the rise, we are confident that Burger 21 and its extensive menu will fit perfectly in the community."

The restaurant is slated to open at the end of July.

Burger 21 will be located at 3385 Woodward Crossing Blvd. in Buford. For more information, visit www.burger21.com.

Just the sort of restaurant we need more of; glorified burgers and hot dogs. Will never survive there. You can already buy a decent hot meal for what these foods sell for.

I used to work at the bike shop in the same plaza, so i still stop in there to buy things. Saw that the new place was being built. The food looks and sounds good, but that really is a bad location for a restaurant, will see how long it lasts.

If there's no slaw dog on the menu, they don't get my business.

I'm blaming the commissioners! :)

note: we sure could use an Al's Italian Beef around here!

I wish In-n-Out would expand here, but they never will.
