Free organic gardening class offered

BUFORD - Gwinnett County Cooperative Extension is offering a free class on organic gardening. Registration is required by June 25.

According to its website, Gwinnett County Cooperative Extension's mission is to "extend lifelong learning to Georgia citizens through unbiased, research-based education in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth and families."

DULUTH - Planned PEThood and Companion Animal Rescue League are hosting a kitten adoption event, The Kitten Patch. There will be grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, a bake sale, a DJ, and kid-friendly activities.

All kittens offered for adoption by CARL have been sprayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, tested for FelV/FIV, and are current on vaccinations. Adoption fee is $120.
