Gladiators deal rights to Sinkewich to San Francisco

The Gwinnett Gladiators traded the ECHL rights to defenseman Russ Sinkewich to the San Francisco Bulls to complete the trade that brought forward Justin Bowers and defenseman Sacha Guimond to Gwinnett on Jan. 14.

Sinkewich finished the 2012-13 season with the Gladiators' AHL affiliate Portland. He appeared in one Calder Cup playoff game with the Pirates and notched four assists in 21 regular season games in the AHL.

The Westlake, Ohio, native was acquired by Gwinnett on Dec. 13 in a trade with the Alaska Aces for forward Chris Clackson. He had five points (two goals, three assists) in 11 games with the Gladiators before heading to the AHL.

In addition to Sinkewich, Gwinnett traded Rylan Galiardi, Christian Ouellet, Cody Carlson and Nick Walsh to the Bulls as part of the deal that brought Bowers and Guimond to Gwinnett.
