Peachtree Ridge's Greene named academic All-American

Peachtree Ridge grad Ben Greene has been named to the 2012-13 Division I Capital One Academic All-America Team, becoming the first Kennesaw State golfer to get the honor. The senior made the second team along with teammate Peder Lunde Hermansson.

Greene was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year this season and helped the Owls earn an at-large berth to the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships, where they tied for 10th place at the NCAA Southwest Regional.

"Ben and Peder have been tremendous student-athletes and I am extremely happy to see them recognized by the CoSIDA members for their hard work the past four years," KSU head coach Jay Moseley said. "To graduate with 4.0 grade-point averages while majoring in finance speaks volumes about their character and work ethic."
