Suspects on lam after Norcross home invasion, shooting

NORCROSS -- Norcross police are searching for the pair of suspects who shot a man during a Sunday night home invasion.

Officers reported to a home on the 1900 block of Summertown Drive at about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, responding to the call of a person shot, Norcross Police Capt. Brian Harr said.

"They discovered that two subjects had forced open the front door of the residence and were confronted by the homeowner," Harr said. "One of the male suspects discharged a firearm, which struck the homeowner in the lower back."

After the suspects fled, the victim was taken to the hospital, treated and released. Authorities are now looking for his assailants -- described as a thin black male about 6-foot-2 wearing all black and sunglasses, and a slim, 5-foot-8 male of unknown race, also wearing "all dark color clothing."

Anyone with information is asked to call Norcross police at 770-448-2111.
