SUGAR HILL -- The city of Sugar Hill will host its annual Sparks in the Park event on the evening of July 3.
From 6:30 p.m. until midnight on Wednesday, July 3, E.E. Robinson Park will host live music, inflatable rides, a movie and, according to city officials, "the best fireworks in Gwinnett County." Concessions and food will also be available, and visitors are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and picnic baskets -- but no alcoholic beverages.
Music will begin at 7:15 p.m. and feature Peggie Hoskins & Soulshine, as well as John Mellencamp and Journey cover band The Idol Kings. Fireworks will begin at 9:45 p.m. The evening will end with an outdoor showing of "The Lorax."
E.E. Robinson Park is located at 850 Level Creek Road in Sugar Hill. Parking and shuttle service will also be available at Sugar Hill Church, located at 5091 Ga. Highway 20.
