BUFORD Tommy Yancy Mr. Tommy Yancy, age 67, of Buford, GA passed away Monday, July 29, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Yancy; brothers, Gerald Piper, James Piper and Kenneth Piper. He is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Youn Ja Kim Yancy, Buford, GA; twin sister and brother in law, Margaret and Joe Park, Buford, GA; brother, Carl Edward Piper, Buford, GA; sister in law, Trudy Piper Upshaw, Young Harris, GA; nieces, Penny Piper Miltiades, Julie Piper Bailey, Barbara Robinson and Lisa Humphrey; nephews, K. C. Davis, Steve Piper, Wayne Piper and Rex Humphrey; aunt, Ola Jean Kornegay; sisters in law, Ann Burell Piper and Ann Wallis Piper; several cousins; and best friends, Buddy Beard and Richard Shelton. Mr. Yancy was born October 23, 1945 in Albertville, AL and was a veteran serving in the United States Army. He received his education from Buford High School and was owner of Yancy Rebuild Service and Citywide Starters and Alternators. He was a former member and past master of the Buford Masonic Lodge, No 292 F&AM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Shadburn officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford, GA.
