Details emerge in Duluth double homicide

DULUTH — Sun Hee Choi, 59, and her husband, 63-year-old Young Chan Choi, were stabbed to death inside their Duluth home Saturday. Gwinnett County police are asking for the public’s help finding their killer.

Spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said police were dispatched to 2578 Worrall Hill Way at about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, finding the Chois dead inside, “apparently from stab wounds.” Witnesses reportedly told authorities that they saw a white passenger car at the scene prior to the crime and that “an unknown male was seen approaching the front door with a box of apples.”

“No suspects or vehicles were present by the time officers arrived,” Smith said. No suspects had been identified or taken into custody as of early Monday afternoon.

The Chois reportedly owned Best Supply, a Norcross restaurant supply business. They were U.S. citizens.

“At this time, detectives do not know why the victims were targeted or if it had to do with the fact that they owned a business,” Smith said.

Authorities asked that anyone who witnessed anything or may have information to call 770-513-5300.
