Ray Hall, age 87, of Monroe, GA passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at St. Marys Hospice House. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Lillian Shelton Hall; his grandson, Alex Hall; 2 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his children: Janice Kurasaka and husband, Douglas; Michael Hall and wife, Charlotte; Richard Hall and wife, Renea; Darrell Hall; grandchildren, Jonathan Hall, Nicholas Hall, Gerrin Hall, Andrew Brandon Kurasaka, Shelley Kurasaka, and Tracy LeSueur, plus 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Henry and Lewis Hall; sister, Agnes Mack; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening, and was devoted to his family.
The family of Ray Hall wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Summers Landing Assisted Living and St. Marys Hospice team for their dedicated, loving care during his battle with cancer.
A funeral service was held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 26th at Meadows Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Conner officiating. Interment followed at Eastview Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donations, in memory of Ray Hall, may be made to the St. Marys Hospice House or the Alzheimers Association. The family received friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 25th at Meadows Funeral Home located at 760 Highway 11, Monroe, GA 30655. For additional information, call 770-267-9406.
