A crash on Friday evening in unincorporated Norcross killed a man when the motorcycle he was riding struck a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was arrested.

The accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and South Old Peachtree Road.

Police told the Daily Post that the deceased driver of the motorcycle has been identified as 50-year-old Joe Vaughn of Cumming.

The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Soo Han Kim, of Norcross, was charged with second degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield while turning left, authorities said.

"The investigation revealed Vaughn was traveling northbound on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, while Kim was traveling southbound," Cpl. T.R. Tobler said. "Kim began to turn left (east) onto South Old Peachtree Road and collided with the motorcycle driven by Vaughn."

Alcohol was not thought to have been a factor, Tobler said.
