LILBURN — Contestants in an upcoming cake contest will be baking for a cure.
Held Sept. 14 at Killian Hall, the “Baking for Babies” fundraising celebration will pit amateur bakers and their cakes against each other. Hosted by BusiNeighbor.org and featuring catered food, vendors and a silent auction, the day’s festivities will benefit the Light the Night Walk, a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Events will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Killian Hall is located at 908 Killian Hill Road in Lilburn. Catering will be provided by Edible Endeavors.
Cakes will be judged on taste and presentation, and should be made to feed 50 to 60 people.
Light the Night walks will be held Oct. 4 in Athens and Oct. 12 in Atlanta. For more information, visit lightthenight.org/ga/.
