LETTERS: Sowell gets it right on Zimmerman trial

Sowell gets it right on Zimmerman trial

Finally! Thomas Sowell’s column (“Is this still America, post-trial?” July 18, 6A) nails the real heroes of the Zimmerman trial — the jurors.

The Zimmerman persecution began right on with a very slanted media self-serving racial profiling of a reverse nature. It will never end until as a member of the Congress of Racial Equality, CORE, recently said, “this racial profiling must end.” Yeah, from both sides.

As Sowell stated “the political perversion of the criminal justice system began early, and at the top … with the President.” Now we have the racial profilers of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton inciting demonstrations and gatherings for no other reason than a platform for their own self-serving interests.

We need more like Sowell, who cuts to the chase and tells it like it is.

This truly has become a civil rights issue but it's George Zimmerman's civil rights that are being violated.
