Lois Adams, age 84, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 15, 2013. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 61 years, Rev. Al G. Adams, Jr.; son, David Adams of Lawrenceville, GA and his daughter & son-in-law, Lindsay Adams Lundeen and 2nd Lt. David Lundeen, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri Army Base; son & daughter-in-law, Steve & Lisa Adams and their two children, Hannah and Jamie of Bethlehem, GA; other relatives and a host of many friends. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents; Rev. Columbus Sylvester Lucas and Eleanor Kennedy Lucas; and two brothers, Robert and Jim Lucas.
Lois Jean Adams was born on March 28, 1929, in Covington, Kentucky. She attended grammar and high school in Covington and graduated from the Oklahoma Baptist University. She married her husband Al on October 5, 1951, and served with him as a dedicated wife of a pastor at six churches spanning a 55 year career of service to her Lord and Savior. Lois worked in the medical profession as the Medical Librarian at Georgia Baptist Hospital, and was owner with her husband Al of A & L Adams Associates in Lawrenceville for a number of years. Lois was a godly woman that dedicated her life to helping others and being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. This wonderful lady will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The Service Honoring the Life of Lois Adams will be held Friday, July 19, 2013, at
11:00 A.M. at Sunrise Baptist Church with Mrs. Adams placed in state at the church at 10:30 A.M. Dr. David Poe will officiate. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Members of the Willard Camps Sunday School Class will serve as an Honorary Escort for the service.
