LAWRENCEVILLE — Next year’s Georgia Manufacturing Expo is expected to be at least double the size of the first installment.
The organizer of the event designed to highlight local manufacturing companies and the goods they produce said next year’s expo is scheduled for June 13 and June 14 at a location to be determined. There were about 40 companies that had exhibits at the expo.
“Our goal is for it to be at least double the size, and to bring a lot of bigger brand names,” organizer Jason Moss said. “We want a lot of products in the show that people can pick up at Walmart or the mall.”
Moss also looks to promote the web site BuyFromGeorgia.com, where consumers can search by business name, classification or product, and has about 250 companies listed. The companies in the directory must employ Georgians.
