Sheryl Crow to headline Kickoff Concert

ATLANTA — As part of the festivities for the annual Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome, Sheryl Crow will headline a concert prior to the contest matching defending national champion Alabama vs. Virginia Tech.

The free concert is sponsored by local sports talk station 680 The Fan and will take place at the north end of Centennial Park. Gates will open at noon on Aug. 31 at the concert will conclude at 4:30 p.m. Uncle Kracker will open for Sheryl Crow starting at 2:30 p.m.

Kickoff for the game, which will air on ESPN, is set for 5:30 p.m.

“With these two major national acts putting on an incredible show for the fans, there is no doubt we are going to be celebrating the party of a lifetime to kick off the college football season in Atlanta,” said Gary Stokan, Chick-fil-A Bowl president and CEO.
