BUFORD — Two people were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries on Sunday when the car they were in crashed into a Buford home.
Police say the driver was traveling on Trailing Ivy Way at about 11:45 a.m. when it lost control after it struck a mailbox.
"After the initial impact with the first mailbox, the driver then struck another mailbox on the same side of the roadway," Gwinnett Cpl. Michele Pihera said.
She said the vehicle re-entered the roadway and then hit a tree on the right side of the road in the front yard of a resident’s home.
"After impact with that tree, the vehicle continued along the grass and eventually struck the side of the garage at the home next door," Pihera said.
No one inside the home was injured and no charges have been filed against the driver.
Police say further investigations will be made into the cause of the collision.
