DISC SPOTLIGHT: 'Admission'

Admission Blu-ray (PG-13)

Movie: 3 out of 4 stars

Disc: 2 and 1/2 out of 4 stars

Your heavy-like or vehement hate of "Admission" will depend mostly on how you feel about Tina Fey in general. In the movie -- which she didn't write but could have -- Fey plays an admissions officer at Rutgers University who starts out as power-drunk and morphs into someone far less uptight, relatable and fun. Along the way she kind of falls for an offbeat high school teacher (Paul Rudd) and changes for the better the future of a smart, disadvantaged student. It's not a classic by any means and is probably not worth buying, but is certainly worthy of a Redbox or Netflix rental.
