Local animal clinic offers low cost vaccinations

NORCROSS – Camp Woof is hosting a low cost vaccination clinic on Saturday. The specials include canine and feline rabies shots for $10, canine and feline distemper shots for $10, canine bordetalla shots for $10, canine heartworm tests for $25, microchips for $25 and combo tests for $25. If an animal has had a reaction to vaccinations in the past, it is best that they see their regular veterinarian. No appointment is needed and the clinic runs from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Gas company donates money to United Way

ATLANTA - Gas South, the official natural gas provider of the Atlanta Braves, has donated $14,800 to the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta as part of the company’s “Bring the Heat” campaign. Gas South pledged at the beginning of the 2013 season to give $25 to the United Way for every strikeout recorded by the Braves pitchers. Through 81 games, the Braves have 516 strikeouts so far this season, corresponding to a $14,800 donation to the United Way.

Since the program’s inception, Gas South has contributed more than $200,000 to the United Way and other nonprofit organizations. For more information or to give help, visit unitedwayatlanta.org.
