NORCROSS -- Authorities are still looking for one man allegedly involved in a deadly drug deal gone bad outside a Norcross motel.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the Thursday afternoon shooting death of 21-year-old Stenneth Lee Charles, killed outside the Red Roof Inn at 5171 Brook Hollow Parkway in Norcross. Special Agent in Charge Carter Brank couldn't reveal many details about the incident Monday but said that his agency was still looking for a third man believed to be involved and revealed the alleged motivation behind the shooting.
"It was some type of drug transaction that didn't go well," Brank said.
In addition to Charles, another man was shot at the scene and was originally listed as in critical condition. He had been upgraded to stable condition on Monday, Brank said, but had not spoken with authorities. His identity was not released.
The two injured men are believed to have been on opposite sides of the botched drug deal.
Brank said both surviving men are likely to face charges.
