LAWRENCEVILLE -- Need a car, forklift or lawn mower for relatively cheap? Start saving your money because the city of Lawrenceville is hosting a public auction of its surplus property Aug. 3.
All items will be sold to the highest bidder for cash only "as is." There are no warranties, either expressed or implied, on any property.
The city also reserves the right to reject any and all bids or cancel any proposed sale.
The public has the chance to look at the items up for bids starting at 10 a.m. on the day of the event. The auction will begin promptly at 11 a.m. at the old Lawrenceville Police Building.
If you win your bid, you must have cash, which is due at closing. Possession of the property is given to the buyer on date of sale, but all of the sold goods need to be removed from the city property by Aug. 6.
The event is held at 20 S. Clayton St. in Lawrenceville, regardless of the weather conditions.
