Kroger asks customers to donate change
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Kroger is joining forces with the United Service Organization now until July 13 to "Round Up" support for American troops and their families. Customers will be urged to round their change up to the nearest dollar to donate to the cause with hopes of raising $250,000.
USO is a nonprofit organization that "supports American troops in combat, as well as military personnel on local bases, the National Guard, Guard Reserves and other personnel providing humanitarian aid."

Men’s Wearhouse asking for suit donations
ATLANTA -- Men's Wearhouse is having its sixth National Suit Drive. The company is raising money and clothes to benefit at-risk men transitioning back into the workplace. Customers are asked to help in three different ways: donate clothing, make a monetary donation and spread the word. People who donate clothes will receive a special coupon for 50 percent off the next purchase (excluding clearance and Everyday Low Price items).

Tournament for disabled athletes a success
MARIETTA -- Georgia State Games hosted its third annual Power Soccer Championship on June 29 at the North Hall Community Center in Gainesville.
The Power Soccer Tournament is one of the only sports offered by the Georgia State Games that is specifically for disabled athletes. Officials with the Georgia State Games hope that with this tournament they can introduce even more sports for disabled athletes in the future.
A few of the teams in the tournament included the Athens Titans, North Georgia Screamin' Eagles, The Sting and the Charlotte Power Surge. The games started with The Sting versus the Power Surge and the Eagles verses the Titans. The Sting and The Eagles faced off in the end with The Sting scoring 3-0. In the championship The Sting and The Eagles fought again with The Sting winning 2-0.
