Duluth's Riley signs with Georgia Southern baseball

Duluth grad Patrick Riley, who pitched the last two seasons at Tallahassee (Fla.) Community College, has signed a letter of intent with the Georgia Southern baseball program.

The right-hander earned All-Panhandle Conference honors as a sophomore, when he went 4-2 with a 4.57 ERA in 12 games as a starting pitcher. In two JUCO seasons, he pitched in 28 games and went 5-4 with a 4.14 ERA

Off the field, Riley was named to the Panhandle and Florida College System Activities Association all-academic teams in both 2012 and 2013. He also was TCC's male scholar-athlete of the year for 2013 and served on the school's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
