Trash service won't take a holiday

LAWRENCEVILLE -- County government offices will be closed for Independence Day.

But trash pick-up service will go on as usual.

County officials said that the fireworks will not interfere with residential services in the unincorporated areas of Gwinnett, as Independence Day is not a holiday for solid waste haulers.

While emergency personnel will remain on hand on July 4, county offices will reopen on Friday, July 5.
