Fans Choice Player of the Week
Who: Jessie Kowalewicz
School: Providence Christian
Class: Senior
Position: Guard
Height: 5-foot-7
Highlights: Scored a team-high 16 points in the Storm's victory over Prince Avenue
Coach Vanita McGough's take: "Being a point guard, she has to be a leader, but she's been a leader from Day 1. She started varsity her freshman year as point guard and she has really matured into an unbelievable leader and point guard for our team. You have to know Jessie. She's a goofball. All the time, she keeps our team laughing but she also leads with effort every day. She knows when to be serious. She has the great all-around characteristics of a leader. She's just a great kid. She's obviously a great softball player, since she's going to Georgia Tech. She's a great soccer player, a great softball player, a great basketball player. She's a great athlete because she gives 110 percent in everything she does all the time. That's her. She is going to excel. She doesn't like being mediocre."
