Tornado watch expired for Gwinnett, metro Atlanta

ATLANTA — The National Weather Service has called off the tornado watch for all of metro Atlanta. It was originally scheduled until 8 p.m.

A storm system that moved through Georgia will brough the threat of widespread damaging winds and isolated tornadoes to the state.

The National Weather Service earlier issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Gwinnett County. That expired at 3:15 p.m.
