ATHENS — U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss is set to speak at the University of Georgia just days after announcing he wouldn't seek re-election.
Chambliss and Sen. Mark Warner are set to speak about their views on leadership and public service at the University of Georgia's business school.
Warner, a Virginia Democrat, is set to deliver the Mason Public Leadership Lecture on Jan. 28 as part of the Terry Leadership Speaker Series. Chambliss, a Georgia Republican, will introduce Warner. Both men plan to participate in a question and answer session following the lecture.
Warner and Chambliss are original members of a bipartisan group of senators working to solve the country's debt problems.
In announcing his decision not to run again, Chambliss expressed frustration over partisan gridlock in Washington.

All I can say is our big government problems haven't started overnight. Why people keeping re-electing the same people that do not vote the views of their constituents is besides me! It has been snowballing downhill for too many years and it is time we take our country back with people that will stop this madness, not encourage it. Washington's culture has turned into a greedy business culture for themselves, families, and friends. It is very hard to find a "we the people" attitude anymore. IF the shoe fits, wear it!!
