GAB: Chick-fil-A hosts daddy-daughter night

LAWRENCEVILLE -- The 117 Chick-fil-A restaurant locations in Greater Atlanta and Athens will host a "Date Night" for fathers and daughters on Feb. 2 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. During this special evening, fathers and daughters are encouraged to spend some time together, enjoying a meal, conversation and several activities.

Seatings are available every hour, and reservations are required. Customers can visit www.daddydaughterdate.com/atlantaandathens to make a reservation.

Every Daddy-Daughter pair will receive an activity sheet with questions and topics to get the conversation started, and a take-home booklet called "Continuing the Conversation" that provides ideas for future dates and questions that both dads and daughters can ask each other.

"One of Chick-fil-A's goals is to promote community connections and enrich the lives of everyone we serve," said Robin Lomax, Chick-fil-A Area Marketing Director. "We understand the importance of father-daughter relationships and want to encourage dads to

take a break from busy schedules, enjoy their daughter's company over a meal and have fun!"

Book-signing scheduled

DACULA -- Author H. Chris Barber is signing books from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 2 at World's Delights & Coffee Inc., 802 Dacula Road, Dacula.

A resident of Hoschton, Barber will be available to sign copies of his book, "Charging your Mindset."

According to a news release from the publishing company, "'Charging Your Mindset' reveals how we make choices that have a direct effect on how our mind-set develops and how we manage ourselves for the day. Resolving those obstacles allows the positive mind-set to guide our actions. Though we cannot control our circumstances, everyone is given a choice in how to respond to each situation. Will you choose a negative mind-set or allow yourself to be guided by positive thinking?"
