MACON -- Bond has been set for two Macon police officers who were arrested in the theft of a tractor from a local plumbing business.
The Telegraph of Macon reports 41-year-old Troy Guidry of Juliette and 32-year-old Adam Wantz of Warner Robins have each been granted $16,150 bond after being arrested on charges of theft, criminal trespassing and violating the oath of office.
Authorities say the officers stole a $25,000 tractor from Mr. Rooter Thursday, and an employee using a GPS tracker learned the equipment was in Juliette.
Police found the tractor behind Guidry's house and took him and Wantz into custody. Macon Police Chief Mike Burns says the incident is a black eye to law enforcement.
It is unclear if Guidry and Wantz have attorneys.
