• Location: iBangkok is located at the intersection of Buford Highway and Old Peachtree Road at the Chevron gas station.

• Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Fridays, noon to 9:30 p.m. Saturdays, closed Sundays

• Atmosphere: iBangkok is attached to the Chevron — not located inside of it. It has its own space, complete with dining room, open kitchen (where you can watch the employees cook on three different wok stations) and a bathroom.

The inside is clean and bright with the aroma of Thai spices in the air. The walls are beige and black with orange, white and yellow flower decorations.

There are seven tables in the small dining room because the kitchen usually cooks for more takeout and delivery orders. But those who would like to sit down for their meal have a place to eat.

Guests order at the front counter and wait for the food. It doesn’t offer table service, but someone will fill your drink and make sure that you’re OK.

“We put the ‘i’ in front of iBangkok because the experience is about you,” owner Holly Kue said.

iBangkok also offer catering for large parties and private events in the restaurant on Sundays.

• Menu: As the name implies, iBangkok serves Thai food, which doesn’t necessarily mean it’s all spicy dishes. The large menu offers not spicy, mild, medium hot and extra hot for all of the plates — you control the heat.

The eatery uses fresh vegetables and meat daily in the meals because Kue goes shopping almost every day.

“We constantly go shopping,” she said. “The thing about us is that we believe in fresh food and making it simple. It’s good quality of food that isn’t expensive.”

Another nice thing is that you can change the vegetables on the plate. If you don’t want onions and want to add broccoli, that isn’t a problem, according to Kue

“Nothing on the menu is set ... so you can change out vegetables on dishes,” she said. “No big deal.”

If you have a sweet tooth, iBangkok serves sweet Thai tea (super-sweetened, black tea with milk) and coconut ice cream. Both are made in the back.
