Eagle Rock Distributing moves to Norcross

NORCROSS -- Metro Atlanta beverage supplier Eagle Rock Distributing recently announced plans to relocate and consolidate its operations into a central warehouse in Gwinnett County.

The company has plans to move its 300 employees into a 295,000 square-foot facility in the Norcross area.

"Gwinnett County offers a central location, enabling us to easily reach our customers in the greater metro Atlanta area," said Steve Economos, CEO of Eagle Rock Distributing Company. "We remain committed to serving our customers and look forward to continuing to grow our operations in the region."

Located at 6205 Best Friend Road, the facility formerly housed a major Kraft distribution hub and will be developed to accommodate the Eagle Rock Distributing Company's products and warehouse equipment.

The company plans to build a new office building on the site and has revealed plans to invest in state-of-the-art technology to support its new warehouse and sales systems.

Gwinnett County Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash said it was a good move.

"Gwinnett County offers businesses in the logistics industry access to the infrastructure, educated workforce and pro-business environment they need to thrive," Nash said.

Chuck Warbington, executive director for the Gwinnett Village CID, applauded the company's decision "to invest in the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District and welcome them to a community that supports a strong and vibrant business climate for growing companies."

I see that Nash has to add her 2 cents tot eh story and give her "opinion" as to why they moved to Gwinnett. For her, it is all about trying to "brag for gain." Hasn't Gwinnett become corrupt enough in the last 15 years? I don't think it will stop either. Just more talk to get taxpayers to believe in the current BOC. I haven't noticed any changes for the benefit of the taxpayers.

Or maybe the Gwinnett Daily Post solicited the opinion of the Chairwowan of the County Commission on the report of a major company relocating to the county.
