The Men Who Built America
Blu-ray (NR)
Movie: 4 out of 4 stars
Disc: 4 out of 4 stars
This docudrama mini-series is the exact right antidote for anyone who mistakenly believes that the erroneous statement "you didn't build that" is true. Five of the United States' premier industrial visionaries (Cornelius Vanderbilt, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, J.P. Morgan and Henry Ford) are profiled in a sprawling (three discs totaling six hours) epic that deftly and concisely shows what can happen when money, ingenuity, drive and the ability to fill a need collide. For any would-be entrepreneur, this series is indispensible and the eight bonus episodes make it a must-own for already established fans of the original cable broadcast.
Technical specs: aspect ratio: Widescreen (1.78:1/1080p), audio: English (DTS HD 5.1 MA), subtitles: English and Spanish.
Special features include:
Eight previously unaired segments
