Brookwood senior Drew Wendel has accepted a scholarship offer from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga tennis program.
Wendel, 34-2 in two varsity seasons, played No. 2 and No. 3 singles on a 2012 playoff team and played No. 1 doubles and earned all-county honors on the 2011 state championship game. He is ranked No. 10 in Georgia and No. 59 in the USTA Southern Section in the boys 18s rankings and he trains with the elite squad at Hobson Performance Tennis Academy. He also maintains a 3.3 GPA.
