Brookwood had six placers, including three tournament champions, to win the North Metro Invitational on Saturday.
The Broncos scored 170 points to beat Locust Grove (164) and Hillcrest (154.5) in the 24-team tournament. Greater Atlanta Christian was fifth, Peachtree Ridge was seventh and Norcross was 11th.
Thanh Nguyen (120 pounds), Wyatt Jozwowski (132) and Caleb Harris (195) were tournament champions. Stephen Solamon (170) and Josh Moore (182) were third and Jeremy Quarshie (285) was fourth.
Mountain View wins Wash.-Wilkes Duals
Mountain View went 4-0 at the Washington-Wilkes Duals on Saturday to win the tournament. The Bears (28-5) defeated Oglethorpe County 56-6, Lakeside-Evans 42-21, Cross Creek 51-28 and Glenn Hills 37-36 in the finals.
Adam Flatt (106 pounds), Kevin Truglio (113), Kenny Cook (120), Tony Torres (132), Kacey Gutierrez (138), D.J. Schrenk (145) were 4-0. Logan Gilbert (126), Octavian Jarda (182) and Malik Washington (220) were 3-1.
Archer claims Sham Slam title
Archer put six wrestlers in the finals of the Sham Slam hosted by Habersham Central on Saturday to win the team title. The Tigers scored 273 points to beat Jefferson (204), Collins Hill (199) and Carrollton. It was the 11th tournament title for Archer this season, which won the Class AAAAAA dual state championship a week ago.
Thomas Bullard, Elliot Lee, Chris Diaz and M.J. Couzan were tournament champions and Daniel Bullard and DaQuan Olbert were runners-up.
GAC wins on Senior Night
Greater Atlanta Christian defeated Stephenson 53-19 on Tuesday, which was the Spartans' Senior Night.
Brandon Bradley (113), Carter Clinebell (132) and Aiden Jarrett (160) won matches by pin for GAC (20-7). Kyle Politz (120) and Trent Scates (138) won by majority decision.
The Spartans also honored their five seniors -- Bradley, Scates, Bryan Brick, Connor Crumrine and Hunter Martin.
