Man at large after liquor store robbery

WINDER -- Winder Police seek the public's help in finding a man who allegedly robbed a liquor store clerk at gunpoint, making off with $400 in cash.

According to Officer Chris Cooper, officers arrived at 1:47 p.m. Saturday at a package store on McNeal Road, where an armed robbery had just occurred.

Cooper said a black male described as having a large build, wearing all dark clothing, sunglasses and a stocking hat "brandished a handgun and demanded money from the store employee."

The male was also described as having "a well-groomed goatee style beard."

Cooper said the alleged robber left the store on foot and was able to get away with $350-$400 in cash. The suspect fled, walking toward a nearby shopping center parking lot across the street, where he was last seen.
