LAWRENCEVILLE -- Jail records show DragonCon co-founder Ed Kramer was booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center on Saturday and will soon face trial following his extradition from Connecticut.

Accused of molesting three Gwinnett boys between 1996 and 2000, Kramer was recently denied a petition for certification from the Connecticut Supreme Court. The move was likely a final effort to block his extradition to Gwinnett after the sci-fi convention founder reportedly violated his local bond by being found in a Connecticut motel room with a young boy.

The petition had asked the New England state's highest court to review the decision of the original appellate court, which denied Kramer's extradition appeal.

In a Jan. 16 interview Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter said that he expected a trail to be scheduled within two weeks of Kramer's arrival.

Since his original arrest, the case against Kramer has been delayed by claims of poor health, requests for special courtroom accommodations, suits and appeals. A Gwinnett judge let him off house arrest in 2008 on the condition he kept prosecutors in the loop as to his whereabouts.

Conditions of his bond were broken in late 2011 when authorities in Milford, Conn., allegedly found him in a motel room with a 14-year-old boy, who was acting in a horror film Kramer was involved in.
